Grant Patrol Day The SCUC Education Foundation Board Members, along with Byron P. Steele Drum Line and Cheer squad surprised the 2023-2024 Grant Program winners on Monday, October 2, 2023. A total of $25,835 was awarded to educators at thirteen campuses and will impact 6000 SCUCISD students. Congratulations to these winners; we cannot wait to see your innovative ideas come to life!

Congratulations to Elijah Flores for securing the No. 19 spot for the Class of 2024 at Samuel Clemens High School. Elijah was the first senior to kick a field goal to win a $2,000 scholarship at our One Community Scholarship Nights event this year. He has chosen to attend Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in Computer Science. We had so much fun at the Texas Education Foundation Network Conference!💙 Deanna Jackson and Veronica Goldhorn presented at their session “Recipe for Success: Turning Passion into Purpose!” This was a great opportunity for our new and returning board members to deepen their learning about the work of the Foundation while also strengthening our bonds as a unit. The SCUC Education Foundation was awarded a $2500 grant after being voted as the recipient of the 2024 Camper's Choice Award at the Texas Education Foundation Network (TEFN) conference this morning, recognizing our efforts for our 2023 One Community Scholarship Night campaign. 🏈🩵

We were so excited to present our Foundation at the Texas School Public Relations Association state conference. We were able to showcase and showoff our wonderful Foundation efforts and the SCUC ISD Community! 💙 The past year would not have been possible without all of our volunteers, board members, sponsors, and community members.

Being able to share the growth we’ve experienced over the past 18 months as a Foundation was a phenomenal moment.
