At its meeting on Monday, August 18, the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted to call a Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (Proposition A) for Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
If approved by voters, Proposition A would generate at least $16 million in new, ongoing revenue each year to support locally identified priorities, including:
- Teacher and Staff Compensation not covered by House Bill 2
- Student Programs in academics, athletics, fine arts, and career & technical - education (CTE)
- Technology Device Replacement to maintain the district’s 1:1 needs-based device - model
- Safety and Security enhancements, including continued School Resource Officer - presence on every campus
Under Proposition A, the average monthly impact on a $324,500 home would be $18.54. Homeowners aged 65 and older with an Over-65 Homestead Exemption would see no increase in their school property taxes.
SCUC ISD currently generates and spends the least per student compared to surrounding districts while maintaining a tradition of strong fiscal stewardship.

More detailed information will be coming soon.
