Beth Bronk was awarded the Norma J. Paschal Commitment to Children Award

Beth Bronk was named the recipient of the Norma J. Paschal Commitment to Children Award, the highest honor bestowed annually to SCUC employees, at the annual Commitment to Excellence Awards Program on May 14, 2026 in the Schertz Civic Center.

The Fine Arts Director, who was also named Administrator of the Year at the program, was lauded for “...because she genuinely cares. In a district serving thousands of students, this leader shows up again and again, attending hundreds of performances, celebrations, rehearsals, and campus events year-round. Their support extends far beyond one campus or program, touching students and staff across the entire district.”

Bronk assumed her duties in the summer of 2022 and has brought a dynamic transformation of all Fine Arts programs that has elevated programs and expanded opportunities for students.

Meanwhile, Michelle Rivera, Pre-K teacher at Paschal Elementary School, was named Elementary Teacher of the Year. She was lauded as someone “...builds strong connections with families and fosters a culture of belonging where every child’s story matters.”  Rivera was overcome by the announcement, covering her face with her hands to process the moment in front of family and colleagues.
