Summer Learning for high school students runs June 3rd through June 26th offering both credit recovery for core subjects and initial credit for select subjects. Cost is $50 per semester credit with a maximum of two (2) full courses or four (4) half-credits for credit recovery. Initial credit offered for SCUC students in grades 9–11 in health & professional communications / PE.
Late registration is on-site at Steele High School and will open on from 8 AM until 11:30 AM and 12 PM until 4 PM on June 4th. Please enter through the courtyard gates.
Summer Learning will take place at Byron P. Steele, II High School in Cibolo, Hours for SCUC Summer Learning are Monday through Thursday, with two sessions offered:
7:30 AM – 11:30 AM, morning
12:00 PM – 12:30 PM, afternoon
Technology (Chromebooks) will be provided. Transportation is available; see registration for sign-up & instructions/information.
Summer Learning Information
Students must pay any outstanding summer learning fees before they can be officially registered. Please check your MySchoolBucks account to see if you have any remaining balances.
If a student is taking multiple courses, payment is due after each course is completed, before registering for the next one.
All final payments for summer learning must be submitted by June 26, 2025.
Course credit will only be awarded once all fees are paid in full.
Students who are currently assigned to DAEP and have not completed their assignment as of May 30, 2025, are not eligible to attend Summer Learning.
Summer Learning is available only to current SCUCISD students in grades 9–11 who were enrolled during the 2024–25 school year.

EOC Summer Prep / Accelerated Learning
EOC courses are designed to prepare students for taking STAAR EOC assessments. Students may enroll for either a morning (7:30 AM – 11:30 AM) or afternoon (12 PM – 4 PM) course, Monday through Thursday during Summer Learning at Steele High School. If more than one EOC assessment is needed, both a morning and afternoon session may be requested. There is no charge for the Accelerated Learning prep courses for STAAR EOC.

If you are unable to attend EOC prep classes, you may still come on the scheduled test date to take the EOC assessment.
