Grizzlies celebrated Red Ribbon week all week! Today was dressing in plaid/checkers to "check yourself" and make good choices. Mrs. Krueger also did guidance lessons talking about self care and healthy choices this week!

3rd Grade GT Students Visit KSAT
Our gifted and talented 3rd grade students took a trip to KSAT yesterday! They had the opportunity to meet news anchors, reporters, a meteorologist, and producers. The students explored various equipment, experimented with the green screen, and even went behind the scenes of a live broadcast to observe the inner workings of the news station!

Way to go Green Valley! The Purple Star Campus Designation is a two-year distinct honor created by the Texas Legislature to recognize Texas public schools and open enrollment charter schools that show their support and commitment to meeting the unique needs of military-connected students and their families. Green Valley is currently in their 2nd year of the designation.

Green Valley's Fall Festival! Please help by donating bags of candy (or small prizes for game winners). The candy drive is from September 23rd until October 17th. Each teacher will have a bin outside their classroom to collect the candy in - the classroom who collects the most candy (by weight!) will get a pizza party!

There is still time to left to donate to our fundraiser! We are SO CLOSE to our $25,000 goal - and a pie face-off between Mrs. Simmons and Mr. Peters. Go Grizzlies!

We still have 10 days left until our fundraiser comes to a close! As we are nearing the end, we'd like to do one more fun weekend challenge for the three day weekend! The top 3 classes to earn money today through Sunday, will receive zipper bracelets!!
