You Matter Week is a week dedicated to celebrating our students and helping them understand why they matter. They matter to our school, their friends and family, their community, and their unique qualities matter. All week we plan activities to help students understand why they matter.
We all face challenges in life and we want our students to understand even in those difficult times, they still matter. This week is dedicated to helping students understand who is there for them when they are struggling and what makes them special.
Monday, Sept. 7: No School (Labor Day Holiday)
Tuesday, Sept. 8: You Matter! Wear a shirt with your favorite band or singer to celebrate how music connects people.
Wednesday, Sept. 9: Self-Care Matters! Wear comfy clothes or something that shows how you practice self care.
Thursday, Sept. 10: What I Love Matters! What things do you enjoy doing outside of school that makes you unique? Wear something to show your favorite activity or hobby.
Friday, Sept. 11: You Matter Because You Serve! Wear red, white, and blue to honor those who serve our country and community. Today we remember that the ways we give back and help others truly matter.
