This week, we are celebrating our incredible Site Coordinators who are the heart and soul of Communities In Schools of South Central Texas! Site Coordinators work tirelessly to support students, remove barriers to their success, and empower them to stay in school and achieve their dreams. From offering a listening ear to providing crucial resources, they are true champions for our kids every day!

Somber observances of the September 11, 2001 attacks were held at various SCUC campuses in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 people who perished that fateful day. Samuel Clemens High School and Byron P. Steele High School held their respective observances - both led by the school’s JROTC cadets with assistance from the band and choir.
Paschal Elementary School also held its yearly observance, with student-led speeches and songs of hope and unity.

Today, our students, staff, and family members gathered together in honor of Patriot Day, remembering the lives lost and the heroes who responded on September 11, 2001. Through heartfelt, student-led speeches and songs of hope and unity, our Patriot choir paid tribute to the spirit of resilience that continues to inspire us all. Together, we reflected on the importance of kindness, courage, and compassion in building a better tomorrow.

Our 4th graders used the engineering process to design and redesign an egg drop container using 3 sheets of paper and masking tape. It was incredible to hear how they improved their design from the first time. Team Bob had success along with a few others. #PaschalPatriotPride
