Important Update: As we have transitioned from Ascender to Skyward, we’ve encountered several unforeseen challenges. Your continued patience during this process is greatly appreciated!
Skyward has temporarily closed Family Access due to a significant issue in their system which is impacting returning SCUC families (e.g., students previously attended SCUC ISD in 2023-2024).
At this time, only new to SCUC families can register their child(ren).
If you are a returning SCUC family, all enrollment verification (and registration of a new student) is temporarily closed. Please do not create an additional account to register or verify enrollment.
Please click the link https://5il.co/2ta29 to read the letter that was sent to parents through ParentSquare.
We will keep you posted when the system is back up and running again.

Join us for Science in the Summer!

Thursday, 5/30/2024, is the last day of school for our Rose Garden Owls! We are so proud of all you have accomplished! Please have a safe and fun Summer Break, and we look forward to seeing you in August!
*** Please note - if you have a copy of the original calendar, it shows that the last day of school is Friday. Earlier this year, SCUC School Board met and amended the calendar to accommodate the graduation of our Seniors at Steele and Clemens.

What a charming event! Mrs. Escobar's reading scholars captivated the audience with their rendition of "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" during a lively Reader's Theater performance. Their youthful talent truly shone as they brought the story to life, enchanting everyone present. The crowd was thrilled, and the scholars even graciously signed autographs afterward, basking in the applause and adoration of their audience. Clearly, these young readers are not only skilled performers but also shining examples of the joy and magic of literature.
The Reading Scholars, sponsored by Ms. Cheryl Escobar, epitomize the spirit of enrichment in Rose Garden's kindergarten curriculum. Comprising young readers who arrived in kindergarten with a pre-existing love for literature or a palpable eagerness to embark on their reading journey, this group met 1-2 times per week. Together, they delved into the wonders of literacy, with a focus on honing their decoding skills, ensuring comprehension, and refining their ability to read with expression and fluency.
These young scholars made remarkable progress over the course of the year. The vast majority of them will be entering 1st grade reading at a 1st or 2nd-grade level, a testament to their dedication and perseverance. What's even more impressive is that every single one of them demonstrated significant improvement in reading fluency, with gains of 60 words per minute or more. Additionally, their expressive capabilities flourished, enriching their reading experience and bringing stories to life in captivating ways.
The success of the Reading Scholars speaks volumes about their hard work and the supportive environment fostered by Ms. Escobar's sponsorship and their Kindergarten homeroom teachers! It's a great day to be an Owl!

On May 9, we had the privilege of honoring two exceptional individuals at Rose Garden. Ms. Uribe, recognized as our Teacher of the Year, embodies dedication and excellence in education. Meanwhile, we bid a fond farewell to Mrs. Salge, who is retiring after leaving an indelible mark on our school community. Both teachers have left an enduring impact on students and staff alike at Rose Garden. We celebrated their achievements at the 2023-2024 Commitment to Excellence Awards Ceremony.

Thank you, Rose Garden Families, for making our teachers and staff feel so loved!
