When your school mascot is the Stallions, bringing a horse to school just feels like the logical next step! The students absolutely loved it, and we’re pretty sure Mr. Keough just won “most unforgettable entrance” of the year. Yee-haw!

Today’s elephant walk was such a special moment. Watching former Sippel students walk these halls again as seniors brought back so many memories and reminded us just how quickly time flies. So proud of the incredible young people they’ve become and grateful to have been a part of their beginning.

Our kindergarteners had a buzz-worthy day today!
The Guadalupe County Master Gardeners (and one of Ms. Lester's former students) came to visit and wowed us with a fun and fascinating lesson all about bees—our tiny but mighty pollinators! We learned how bees help flowers, fruits, and veggies grow, and then got to "bee" scientists ourselves by practicing pollination using mini bee toys and powder.
The excitement didn’t stop there. Students created their very own bee houses to give our buzzing friends a safe place to live right in their own yards!
Most importantly, we learned a very special lesson to carry with us every day: “Bee Kind to Bees!”

KONA ICE DAY WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!
Today our campus was overflowing with smiles, laughter, and LOTS of delicious snowcones thanks to an incredibly generous treat from PTC! All students and staff got to enjoy Kona Ice, and it made for such a fun and exciting day for everyone!
We are beyond grateful to PTC for always going above and beyond to support our school and create special memories for our students and staff. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to our school family, and today was absolutely unforgettable!

We are so proud of our students for an amazing GT Showcase!
Our students showcased incredible creativity and problem-solving through exciting projects including Kindergarten’s Create Your Own Island, 1st grade’s Getting the Dirt on Soil: A Worm’s Eye View, 2nd grade’s Creating a Public Space, and 4th grade’s Bridges.
A big thank you to our GT teachers for all the time, creativity, and dedication they put into working with our students and helping bring these amazing projects to life. We are so proud of all their hard work and creativity!

Step into history! Our 3rd graders brought the past to life during their Wax Museum project by researching influential historical figures, creating engaging presentations, and dressing the part with incredible creativity. Families, teachers, and fellow students had the chance to “meet” these famous individuals and learn from the students themselves.
We are so proud of the hard work, confidence, and enthusiasm our young historians showed as they shared their knowledge in such a memorable and exciting way!

Sippel 3rd Grade G/T students had an amazing adventure at the Edwards Aquifer! Through exciting hands-on activities, students explored how an aquifer works, what it’s made of, and why it plays such an important role in our community. Learning came to life as our young scientists discovered the incredible journey of water beneath our feet!

What an exciting day at Sippel!
The Bully Free USA BMX Show brought amazing tricks, important anti-bullying lessons, and lots of fun for our students. A big highlight was watching some of our brave teachers volunteer to have bikes jump over them!
Thank you to our amazing PTC for bringing this unforgettable experience to our campus! Opportunities like this create lasting memories while reinforcing positive lessons for our students.

Mrs. Kolo’s 1st grade champions have DONE IT—they’ve crushed ST Math! Through focus, perseverance, and serious brainpower, these young learners rose to every challenge and came out on top.
To celebrate, they enjoyed a well-earned picnic lunch, delicious donuts, and extra recess filled with laughter and big, proud smiles.
We couldn’t be prouder. Way to go math superstars!

Happy National School Nurse Day, Nurse Thompson!

From tummy aches to big feelings, you take care of it all with kindness and patience. Happy Principals Day, Mr. Keough!
The rain couldn’t stop us from celebrating you—with a few fun, heartfelt shenanigans, of course. Thank you for leading with humor, patience, and the dedication that makes our school such a great place.
You keep everything running smoothly and still make time for all of us—we truly appreciate it!
We promise not to “reply all”… unless it’s to say how much we appreciate you!
And shoutout to our staff rocking purple today—Geaux Tigers! 💜💛

We’re so proud of our talented Sippel artist featured at this year’s SCUC Celebrate the Arts! Their talent and hard work truly shine. Each creation captures a moment of curiosity, courage, and creativity brought to life.
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Stakes for her guidance, and for sharing her love of art with our students.
Congratulations we’re so proud of you!

To our school lunch heroes—thank you for showing up each day with such care and heart. From breakfast to lunch, you’re feeding our Stallions and fueling their minds, bodies, and smiles. Your dedication means more than words can express, and it’s felt in every happy, well-fed student you serve.

April is the Month of the Military Child, and we are grateful for our military-connected students who show strength, resilience, and courage every day. Our district is proud to support our military children and the unique experiences they bring to our schools.

To our incredible bus drivers, thank you for the care, patience, and kindness you show every single day. You are the first smile our students see in the morning and the safe ride that brings them home each afternoon. Rain or shine, you show up with dedication and heart, and it does not go unnoticed. We are so grateful for all that you do to keep our students safe and supported.
We are so proud to have you as part of our Sippel family!

Spring Festival was a blast! From the splash-tastic dunking booth to all the fun games, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The petting zoo was a huge hit—so many smiles thanks to our adorable furry friends! We loved having all the vendors out too.
A huge THANK YOU to our incredible PTC for putting together such a spectacular event. Your hard work made the evening unforgettable!

Today, on their last day at Sippel, The Purpose Church recognized our school for their support and partnership over the last four years. We wish the church all the best in their new building, and we are looking forward to continuing our partnership for years to come.

Sippel was well represented at today’s job fair. It was great connecting with talented individuals, sharing our values, and building relationships for the future. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. We are excited for what’s ahead!

It’s that magical time of year again when students practice their very best persuasive writing skills and put them to work on the most important cause of all: convincing Mr. Keough to say “yes.” From donut parties, to class pets, to special lunches, the requests keep rolling in. The real question is, how long can Mr. Keough hold out before giving in this year?

During Volunteer Appreciation Week, we celebrate the incredible impact you make in our school community. From first-day-of-school decorations to a magical holiday store and fun campus events, your creativity shines in everything you do. You consistently go the extra mile for our teachers, staff, and students, and we are truly grateful. Thank you so much for being amazing!
