The Grinch made a surprise visit to our school today! He stirred up some playful trouble and lots of laughs. Our students had an absolute blast! It’s been a week since our gym lit up for the APEX Glow Run, and we’re still buzzing! Faces painted, glow sticks everywhere, music blasting, and every class brought the energy.

Sippel House leaders helped deliver over 840 items to RACAP this morning. They were given a tour and had the opportunity to meet RACAP director, Ms. Lisa Loftus. We are so proud of our students and their commitment to helping our community. Way to go, Stallions! #WeAreSCUC
Parades, concerts, and most of all, thank-yous, were the focus of campus Veterans Day observances throughout SCUC leading up to the observance on November 11th. Processions were held through the halls of some campuses; students beamed with pride as they walked with parents, grandparents and other family members who currently serve or have served in the United States military.
Meanwhile, Samuel Clemens High School Air Force and Byron P. Steele High School JROTC cadets led the yearly observance at their respective campuses. Family members, many of them military-connected, watched as school choirs paid tribute to their guests with patriotic songs and expressions of gratitude for their service.
Veterans Day, first recognized as Armistice Day after World War I, reminds us of the men and women who serve to protect the nation from enemies, foreign and domestic. They trade comfort for duty, endure long deployments, often to volatile locales around the world. These sacrifices are felt by the service members themselves, and by their families at home.
SCUC is grateful and proud to be a military-connected school district, with approximately 40 percent of its enrollment tied to current or former military veterans. We express our deepest thanks for those who volunteer to serve to keep our nation safe and free.

Inspired by the story of the Super Soaker's inventor, they unleashed their creativity through exciting STEM activities, crafting their own amazing inventions. Our Sippel community hosted a heartwarming Veteran's Day parade! We celebrated the courage and sacrifice of our veterans with gratitude. The 4th grade choir sang beautifully, and the he Steele High School AFJROTC presented the colors with pride. Veteran families joined their students to walk the halls as students and teachers clapped and cheered, creating a truly memorable experience. From the Cat in the Hat to Harry Potter, Sippel's Character Parade was a total treat! Our students and staff brought their favorite stories to life with costumes that were clever, colorful, and downright fang-tastic. No tricks here, just a whole lot of literary love!

Students are learning about two awesome elements of art — Form and Value! Using a pumpkin patch as inspiration, they’re practicing how to add highlights and shadows to make their drawings look round and three-dimensional. With glowing highlights and deep autumn shadows, our young artists are making their pumpkins pop right off the page. Art is awesome!
