April is a special time on our campus as we celebrate the Month of the Military Child. This month allows us to recognize the unique sacrifices, resilience, and strength of our students who navigate the challenges of military life—from frequent moves to long deployments.
To show our appreciation and build school-wide spirit, we are hosting a dedicated Spirit Week from April 13th to April 17th. Whether you are part of a military family or a proud supporter, we invite every student and staff member to participate!
Spirit Week Schedule
Get your outfits ready! Here is how we are dressing up to show our support:
Date | Theme | What to Wear |
Monday, 4/13 | Camouflage Day | Blend in to stand out! Wear your favorite camo patterns. |
Tuesday, 4/14 | Superhero/Hero Day | Dress as your favorite caped crusader or a real-life hero. |
Wednesday, 4/15 | Branch Unity Pride | Represent any military branch (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force). |
Thursday, 4/16 | Red, White, & Blue Day | Show your patriotic spirit in our national colors. |
Friday, 4/17 | Purple Up! Day | Wear Purple to show support for military kids everywhere! |
Why Purple?
You might be wondering, "Why purple for Friday?" Purple is the color used to represent all military branches combined. It’s a mix of Army Green, Coast Guard Blue, Air Force Blue, Marine Corps Red, and Navy Blue. When we "Purple Up," we are showing that we are one united community standing behind our military students.
Important Note: While we want everyone to have fun and be creative, please ensure all outfits remain within the school dress code.
Let's make this a week to remember and show our military-connected peers that they have the full support of the Steele family!
