This week's Spotlight on Success goes to our awesome Steele Percussion Ensemble!

The Byron P. Steele Percussion Ensemble has officially secured an invitation to the 2027 Music for All National Festival—a milestone that stands as one of the highest national honors in high school instrumental music.

After earning a spot through a competitive national audition, Steele Percussion will travel to Indianapolis, Indiana next April to showcase their talent alongside the country’s top ensembles. Beyond taking the national stage, our student musicians will participate in exclusive clinics, masterclasses, and hands-on workshops with world-renowned percussion artists and educators.

This incredible feat highlights the exceptional talent, drive, and work ethic of our students, guided by the outstanding leadership of Director of Percussion Jackson Hisatake. We also extend a big thank you to last year’s graduating seniors, whose leadership and dedication set the standard and laid the groundwork for this achievement.
