Gifted and Talented Referrals Now Open for the 2026–2027 School Year
Every child learns differently, but some students display an exceptional capacity for critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and rapid learning that requires specialized educational support. If you have observed these qualities in your child, now is the time to take action.
Our district is officially accepting parent referrals for the Gifted and Talented (G/T) Program. G/T services are tailored to challenge high-ability learners, providing enriched curriculum pathways, advanced problem-solving projects, and opportunities to collaborate with like-minded peers.
Is the G/T Program Right for Your Student?
Gifted learners often demonstrate traits beyond high academic marks. You might consider referring your child if they regularly:
Show intense curiosity: Asks complex, deep questions about how things work.
Think critically: Connects seemingly unrelated concepts or solves problems in unconventional ways.
Learn rapidly: Grasps new concepts quickly with minimal repetition required.
Express vivid imagination: Demonstrates high levels of originality, intellectual humor, or creative thinking.
How to Submit a Referral
The window to submit a student referral is open now through October 2, 2026. Submitting a referral initiates the official screening and evaluation process conducted by our instructional team.
To complete the referral form online, visit the G/T Parent Referral Link.
Questions About Testing?
We understand parents often have questions regarding what testing looks like, how students are evaluated, and when results are shared. To help you navigate the evaluation process, please review our comprehensive Testing FAQs for Parents for detailed answers regarding schedules, assessment types, and qualification criteria.
Don't miss the deadline—submit your referral by October 2, 2026, to ensure your child is evaluated for this year's G/T testing cycle.
