“We have tomatoes!!!”
The Garden Club (sponsored by Ms. Galvan and Ms. Stehn) planted cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and peppers in March. The sponsors have been watering during the summer break and now we have tomatoes.

Fun Day at Wilder was a blast! 🎉 From exciting games to a giant bouncy house with a slide, plus sweet treats like cotton candy and snow cones—there was fun around every corner. Smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories all day long!

Wilder staff and students ready and reppin’ tonight—let’s go Spurs! 🖤🤍 #GoSpursGo

Our 6th grade Dual Language students had an exciting day exploring and learning at the Witte Museum! It was a wonderful opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences while having fun together.

Our band students brought the music—and the treats! 🎶🥐 Thank you for celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week last week by sharing your talents and breakfast goodies. Huge shoutout to our amazing band teachers and talented kiddos for making it so special!

Happy National Nurses Day to Nurse Sullivan, who cares for our students with compassion, patience, and love. She also goes above and beyond to support our teachers, making our school a healthier and happier place every day. 💜🩺

Friday was Principal’s Day - Mr. Jackson is a leader who runs our campus with a big heart and even bigger listening ears! From high‑fives to heartfelt conversations, our principal leads with compassion, humor, and a genuine love for every student and staff member. 💜🎉

April is the Month of the Military Child, and here at Wilder, we take great pride in honoring the incredible strength and adaptability of our military-connected students. We celebrate to show our support for these resilient young heroes who navigate unique challenges with courage and a smile every single day.

School bus drivers are the very first faces our students see to start the day and the last ones to wave them goodbye. Though their primary job is safe transportation, the kindness and consistency they provide make a much deeper impact than they often realize. This week, we honor their dedication and thank them for being the steady heartbeat of our school community.

Huge thanks to all our incredible PTC volunteers for everything they have done this year. A special thank you to Liz Denner and Courtney May, for supporting our Wilder staff and students with everything from delicious treats to boundless positive energy. While we are so sad to see this powerhouse duo leave us next year, we are endlessly grateful for the thoughtful ways they’ve made our school a brighter place. They leave behind a legacy of kindness that won't soon be forgotten! 🍎💜🙏🏼

Happy Administrative Professionals Day to the incredible team that keeps Wilder running like a well-oiled machine! Whether you’re managing the front office or gracefully putting out daily fires, your hard work and dedication are what keep our school moving forward. Thank you for being the glue that holds us all together—we truly couldn't do it without you! 💜✨

Happy Public School Volunteer Week to the incredible people who pour their hearts into Wilder! From supporting our staff to mentoring our students, your dedication makes our school community thrive every single day. We are so grateful for your time and energy—thank you for being such a vital part of the Wilder family!

One of our very own 6th graders, Jewel Moheit was asked to perform a solo for a Fiesta event that was held in front of the Alamo this past Saturday, and she was amazing! We are very proud of her for putting herself out there in a big way.

Purple Up! for Military Kids is especially meaningful in SCUC, where many of our students are proud military-connected children. On April 15, we wear purple to honor their strength, resilience, and sacrifices, and to show them they are seen, valued, and supported in our schools and community. 💜

Gretel is a fifth‑grade student with muscular dystrophy who receives homebound instruction and demonstrates remarkable determination and love for learning. Despite significant physical and medical challenges, she actively participates in lessons using assistive technology and her strong problem‑solving skills. With the dedicated support of Mrs. Galvan, Gretel continues to grow academically in ways that honor her comfort, health, and independence. We are proud to be her school and to support her learning journey alongside her family and teacher.

📚✨April 4th was National Librarian Day.
Mrs. Lindsey is no stranger to Wilder—after working here before and then checking out retirement from Clemens, she came back to write another chapter with us. She’s incredibly smart, endlessly helpful, and truly novel‑worthy. We’re so grateful she stepped up and stepped in as our long‑term sub while we search for a permanent librarian. What a page‑turner of a year it’s been with her! 💙

Behind the scenes and in the heart of the action—Wilder’s three amazing assistant principals do it all! From blue forms to scheduling, discipline to listening ears, they keep our school running smoothly with care, humor, and dedication. We are so lucky to have this powerhouse team keeping Wilder organized, supported, and on task every single day 💙📚🎉
