The September issue of SCUC Connect is now available! 🎉
In this issue, we shine a spotlight on a senior student pursuing Eagle Scout status by completing a heartfelt project for his former elementary music teacher. We also celebrate the SCUC Fine Arts program for earning statewide recognition through the teacher’s dedication to fostering creativity through visual arts. Plus, meet a new teacher at Schertz Elementary, who draws inspiration from her personal journey to becoming an educator, bringing passion and purpose to her students.

Important Update: As we have transitioned from Ascender to Skyward, we’ve encountered several unforeseen challenges. Your continued patience during this process is greatly appreciated!
Skyward has temporarily closed Family Access due to a significant issue in their system which is impacting returning SCUC families (e.g., students previously attended SCUC ISD in 2023-2024).
At this time, only new to SCUC families can register their child(ren).
If you are a returning SCUC family, all enrollment verification (and registration of a new student) is temporarily closed. Please do not create an additional account to register or verify enrollment.
Please click the link https://5il.co/2ta29 to read the letter that was sent to parents through ParentSquare.
We will keep you posted when the system is back up and running again.

Between new employee orientation last week and staff coming back today, we are so excited to start the 2024-2025 school year!! Huge thank you for our Schlather PTC for the delicious Abel's Diner breakfast! See you soon Huskies!!

We’ve had a great week welcoming new staff to our Schlather school family. We are so thankful for Mrs. Wahl and Mrs. Rosewood who will be serving as our new hire support team.

Today was a great day of collaboration with these two Assistant Principals for continued Husky success (as well as Green Valley Elementary, where Mr. Peters will be serving next year!)
⭐️Thank you Mr. Peters for all your help and support at Schlather for the last 14 years!⭐️
Your total 14 years of service, the last 6 as our AP are very much appreciated. Go do great things at GVE!
We welcome Ms. Marte Neshem, who most recently served at GVE. This transition within our feeder pattern is going to be a win-win for all!

What a fun evening! Thank you to all that came out to McDonalds tonight!
We saw so many Husky Families at the McDonalds on 3009 and 35! There were smiles, laughter, and even a friendly teacher competition to see who could sell the most cookies!
*Cookies were $1 and the all proceeds from cookie sales go directly back to the school!
Thank you McDonalds!

Field day is just around the corner. It takes a lot of volunteers to make this fun day a sucess. Please sign up for as many shifts as you can do. Thank you for your willingness to help make these fun days amazing for our students!
