5th graders were able to learn and grow with Junior Achievement of South Texas, which is a part of a global non-profit organization committed to empowering young people to own their future success. On JA in a Day, students are delivered immersive learning experiences in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship through community volunteers who share their own life experiences with students.

These Huskies raised a lot of support for our school and won a trip to Santikos! We can't wait to collaborate with PTC to see where the fundraising proceeds will help improve our student learning and experiences at Schlather!

Mrs. Housley’s class studied the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade floats and made their own parade balloons today! They even made some for the front office staff!

This week, Mrs. Henry and Mrs. Hawthorn had their 6th grade students experimenting Newton's 3rd Law by simulating a car crash. There's a good dinner conversation for your Husky! ♥️🐾

The September issue of SCUC Connect is now available! 🎉
In this issue, we shine a spotlight on a senior student pursuing Eagle Scout status by completing a heartfelt project for his former elementary music teacher. We also celebrate the SCUC Fine Arts program for earning statewide recognition through the teacher’s dedication to fostering creativity through visual arts. Plus, meet a new teacher at Schertz Elementary, who draws inspiration from her personal journey to becoming an educator, bringing passion and purpose to her students.

Important Update: As we have transitioned from Ascender to Skyward, we’ve encountered several unforeseen challenges. Your continued patience during this process is greatly appreciated!
Skyward has temporarily closed Family Access due to a significant issue in their system which is impacting returning SCUC families (e.g., students previously attended SCUC ISD in 2023-2024).
At this time, only new to SCUC families can register their child(ren).
If you are a returning SCUC family, all enrollment verification (and registration of a new student) is temporarily closed. Please do not create an additional account to register or verify enrollment.
Please click the link https://5il.co/2ta29 to read the letter that was sent to parents through ParentSquare.
We will keep you posted when the system is back up and running again.

Between new employee orientation last week and staff coming back today, we are so excited to start the 2024-2025 school year!! Huge thank you for our Schlather PTC for the delicious Abel's Diner breakfast! See you soon Huskies!!
