Our 4th grade Wildcats took a field trip to see the Alamo City Arts Symphony at Clemens High School, where they experienced the power of live music and the arts. 🎼 Opportunities like this strengthen learning and expose students to meaningful cultural experiences in our community.

Rain or shine, our amazing crossing guards, Mr. Tim and Ms. Thelma, are there each day to greet our Wildcats with a smile and help them arrive to school and head home safely. 🚸

Our Pre-K students are becoming readers one page at a time! 📚 During their library visit, they checked out books to enjoy back in the classroom. Along the way, they practiced listening, taking turns, and caring for books—building early literacy skills and a lifelong love of reading.

We could not have asked for more beautiful weather during our 1st grade picnic and fun family engagement event! 🧺 Following lunch, families were invited into the classrooms where students proudly showcased the skills and learning they have been working on. Thank you to all the families who joined and helped make the day so meaningful for our Wildcats!

Third grade is making math fun! 🎉🎲 Wildcats practiced their multiplication skills through an engaging game that kept them thinking, moving, and cheering each other on while building confidence with their facts.

Mrs. Williams' class created a Sun–Earth–Moon model to explore how light travels in our solar system. Using a flashlight to represent the Sun and paper models for the Earth and Moon, they observed how the Sun provides light to both, and learned that the Moon does not produce its own light. ☀️🌍🌙

Smile! 📸 Our Wildcats were camera-ready for class picture day. These sneak peeks capture some of the smiles and Wildcat pride that made the day so special. We can’t wait to see the final photos!

January is Board of Trustees Appreciation Month, and we are grateful to the SCUCISD Board of Trustees for their dedication and leadership in serving our students, staff, and community. Thank you for supporting people, leading with purpose, and building strong partnerships that help guide our district forward. We appreciate all you do for SCUCISD!

In Pre-K, we work hard and play hard! Recess is the perfect time for our Wildcats to move their bodies, build friendships, and practice teamwork—while enjoying some well-earned fun outdoors. 🐾☀️

Our ALE class had a blast putting science into action during an experiment with soda bottles and Mentos! As they observed the exciting reactions, they learned about physical and chemical changes and discovered how science works in the real world. Learning is even more fun when curiosity leads the way! 🧪✨

Our kindergarten classes are building strong math skills through hands-on learning! 📊✨ Using a variety of strategies, students are practicing counting in engaging ways together. These activities make math fun, interactive, and confidence-building for our youngest Wildcats! 🐾➕

A big thank you to the families who have taken the time to submit a Staff Member Shoutout! Your kind words and appreciation mean so much to our Watts Elementary team and are a wonderful way to recognize the dedication and heart our staff brings to our campus each day.
We encourage all families to continue sharing shoutouts and helping us celebrate the incredible people who make Watts such a special place to learn and grow. 💙🐾

Our students enjoyed an exciting, hands-on learning experience as Yvonne Keranen from the Texas Wildlife Association visited our library to present Skins and Skulls. Students learned about omnivores, herbivores, and carnivores, explored predator-prey relationships, and engaged with real skulls and animal pelts that brought learning to life. Thank you to our librarian, Mrs. Morales, for making this enriching experience possible for our Wildcats!

We were thrilled to welcome our Wildcats back this morning! The first day back from winter break was filled with big smiles, excitement, and happy reunions. We’re ready for a great start to the new semester! 🐾✨

December was full of colorful, creative, and festive dress-up days! Here’s a look back at some of the fun ways our Wildcats showed their holiday spirit.

Our Angel Tree was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when our community comes together with purpose and heart. In collaboration with our CIS Counselor, Ketzel Lopez, we are grateful to Sonny Monteverdi and our friends at Journey Fellowship Church for their generous gift donations, and to Hope Presbyterian Church in New Braunfels for the Boxes of Blessings filled with non-perishable holiday items. These partnerships and acts of kindness make a meaningful difference for our families. ❤️
