Holiday cheer filled our campus today as students enjoyed games, crafts, and time together during their class parties. It was a joyful way to end the semester, creating memories and smiles that will carry us into the new year.

Our Wildcats truly impressed at this year’s GT Showcase! Students shared thoughtful projects, big ideas, and creative problem-solving that left everyone inspired. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they presented their learning.

The 4th grade choir performance brought the holiday spirit to life with a “Very Merry Musical Celebration”! 🎄🎵 With Miss Threadgill’s guidance and the support of our specials team, our Wildcats shared beautiful music that filled the room with joy. We’re so proud of their dedication and the festive energy they brought to the stage! Way to shine, 4th grade - you made the season bright!

Watts Elementary is so thankful for all of the substitute educators who step into our classrooms with a smile and keep learning moving forward. Your support makes a difference for our students, our teachers, and our campus community. We appreciate you today and every day. "We DONUT know what we would do without you!" 📚🍩

Thank you to the many Wildcat families who donated to our Thanksgiving Food Drive, as well as our community partners, Tri-County Optimist Club, Journey Fellowship, and City of Cibolo for your contributions. Your kindness fills our campus with generosity and ensures support for our Wildcat families and others across the district. We’re grateful for everyone who came together to make a difference this season.
A special thank you to Ketzel Lopez and Kimberly Nipper for coordinating such a successful food drive, and thank you to Carlos Perez with Tri-County Optimist Club for offering a helping hand to distribute Thanksgiving meals to our families!

Our kindergarten students have been working hard and having fun exploring their Specials classes—physical education, art, music, library, and computers! We’re so proud of their creativity, energy, and curiosity. Thank you to our amazing Specials teachers for helping our youngest Wildcats learn with purpose and joy. 💙💛

Parades, concerts, and most of all, thank-yous, were the focus of campus Veterans Day observances throughout SCUC leading up to the observance on November 11th. Processions were held through the halls of some campuses; students beamed with pride as they walked with parents, grandparents and other family members who currently serve or have served in the United States military.
Meanwhile, Samuel Clemens High School Air Force and Byron P. Steele High School JROTC cadets led the yearly observance at their respective campuses. Family members, many of them military-connected, watched as school choirs paid tribute to their guests with patriotic songs and expressions of gratitude for their service.
Veterans Day, first recognized as Armistice Day after World War I, reminds us of the men and women who serve to protect the nation from enemies, foreign and domestic. They trade comfort for duty, endure long deployments, often to volatile locales around the world. These sacrifices are felt by the service members themselves, and by their families at home.
SCUC is grateful and proud to be a military-connected school district, with approximately 40 percent of its enrollment tied to current or former military veterans. We express our deepest thanks for those who volunteer to serve to keep our nation safe and free.
Our Wildcats came together to celebrate the brave men and women who have served our country. 🎖️❤️ The morning began with a beautiful performance by the 4th grade choir, followed by our Veterans Day Parade — where students, staff, and families lined the halls waving flags, sharing smiles, and thanking our local heroes.
We’re so grateful to the veterans who joined us and to our amazing community for helping our students appreciate the importance of respect, gratitude, and service. 💙❤️🤍
