At Watts, we Go Gray in May. We do this to honor Brain Tumor Awareness Month. This is a time to raise awareness about brain tumors. We also want to show support for those who have been affected by brain tumors. The color gray is a symbol for brain tumors, representing the gray matter in the brain. We grow Everly Strong as each day goes by!

Today is National Speech-Language Pathologist Appreciation Day! Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) play a crucial role in helping our students communicate effectively, whether it’s addressing speech and language delays, improving communication skills, or supporting them with articulation or phonological difficulties. We are very thankful for having such an amazing SLP Team at Watts for all our Wildcats!

This week, we celebrated our entire staff at Watts! We took a trip back in time to the 80s. Our wonderfully sweet PTC gave our staff something nice to enjoy each day. Our staff got to enjoy a nacho bar, a yogurt bar, sweet treats, breakfast (bagels and donuts), a pizza party, and sandwiches. Thank you to the Watts PTC, Mr. Steven Piles, Mattenga’s Pizzeria, and Schertz Cibolo Emergency Clinic for celebrating our campus staff! We are very grateful for your generosity! We are truly thankful for all that you have done and continue to do for our Wildcat family!

Thank you Nurse Law! Today we celebrate you! Today is National School Nurse Appreciation Day. This day honors the hard work and dedication of school nurses. School nurses are healers, comforters, and role models. They do a selfless job and meet the challenges of caring for school students. They help improve attendance, staff health, and academic performance. Thank you for all that you do for all of our Wildcats every single day, Nurse Law!

The "Sentence Segmenting Surgeons" theme is a brilliant way to make grammar engaging. The students dressed in scrubs, masks, and hair covers like real surgeons bring the whole theme to life—definitely makes sentence work feel like a serious (but fun) mission.
