The September issue of SCUC Connect is now available! 🎉 In this issue, we shine a spotlight on a senior student pursuing Eagle Scout status by completing a heartfelt project for his former elementary music teacher. We also celebrate the SCUC Fine Arts program for earning statewide recognition through the teacher’s dedication to fostering creativity through visual arts. Plus, meet a new teacher at Schertz Elementary, who draws inspiration from her personal journey to becoming an educator, bringing passion and purpose to her students. September is National Literacy Month! Yesterday, our Wildcats dove into new adventures through reading! Our Kinder Wildcats got to hear author, Ernest Cline, read from his newest book, Bridge to Bat City. They also were able to listen to a bat expert from Bracken Cave speak about Mexican Freetail Bats! We are proud to be part of the #BigTexasReadIn as they explore stories and let their imaginations soar! Thank you, H-E-B, for supporting education and inspiring a love of reading in classrooms across Texas! #Read3 #WeAreSCUC #ReadersAreLeaders

Important Update: As we have transitioned from Ascender to Skyward, we’ve encountered several unforeseen challenges. Your continued patience during this process is greatly appreciated! Skyward has temporarily closed Family Access due to a significant issue in their system which is impacting returning SCUC families (e.g., students previously attended SCUC ISD in 2023-2024). At this time, only new to SCUC families can register their child(ren). If you are a returning SCUC family, all enrollment verification (and registration of a new student) is temporarily closed. Please do not create an additional account to register or verify enrollment. Please click the link https://5il.co/2ta29 to read the letter that was sent to parents through ParentSquare. We will keep you posted when the system is back up and running again.
