Our AP Art students recently took their learning into the community with a field study at the San Antonio Museum of Art and the Japanese Tea Garden. Experiences like these allow students to study art in new environments and deepen their understanding of the craft they are developing. From Buffalo Country to Texas Fight! Clemens Class of 2015 graduate Gunner Lopez is living out his dream job and making Buffalo Country proud along the way! Gunner played football all four years for the Buffs before graduating from UT with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education. He discovered his passion for the equipment side of athletics while working with the Texas basketball team as a student and later with the track team as a graduate assistant. In June, he was promoted to his dream job with the #1 ranked UT football program. 🏈 From wearing the Gold and Royal Blue to working with the Longhorns, Gunner continues to represent Clemens with pride. #GoBuffs #Champions 💛🏆💙

City of Cibolo Challenge Coin Champion Senior, Jackson Boyle earned $7,585 for his winning coin and was also presented with the newly updated City of Cibolo Challenge coin featuring his design. We are proud of you Jackson! #GoBuffs #Champions 💛🏆💙

Cadet Aaliyah Williams, who is the Samuel Clemens AFJROTC Cadet Corps Commander, was awarded the Top Cadet Award for the Prairie View A&M Cadet Leadership Camp at Prairie View A&M University.  The camp had approximately 250 cadets from 11 different schools.  All cadets were exposed to valuable training and instruction in drill, leadership academics, physical fitness, sports and teambuilding. Cadet Williams was chosen to serve as the Vice Commander for the camp and did a magnificent job of representing Samuel Clemens and the TX-82nd!

The first NHS meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 25th at 8:25 AM in the Clemens library.

If you are unable to attend the morning meeting, an afternoon meeting will be held at 4:30, also in the Clemens library.

Meetings are held weekly after school in B208, alternating between Thursdays & Fridays.

Finished our beginning of year assemblies with the Class of 2027. We were able to celebrate reaching the final year of their K-12 education. 250 students have already met CCMR. Senior checklist is up with a few boxes already checked. Enjoy the ride and embrace the good along with the challenges. Can't wait to celebrate all on May 25. Our 2 award recipients were Hope Z, president of our StuCo and leader on campus and Sean G, All American track, XC state qualifier, football, and soccer member. While many are still perfecting their driving skills Deacon earns his private pilot license. ✈️ The Air Force JROTC Flight Academy is a US Air Force funded scholarship program that awarded 94 scholarships to select AFJROTC cadets to attend private pilot training at partner universities and colleges during the summer of 2026. The scholarships paid for round-trip airfare, room and board, course tuition, and flight hours required to potentially earn a Private Pilot Certificate (PPC) through an in-residence program that was approximately eight (8) weeks in length. Samuel Clemens High School and the TX-82nd AFJROTC program was fortunate enough to have senior Deacon Arnold earn one of the 94 scholarships that were awarded. He attended the University of Purdue and was the first to earn his private pilot license in his class of 19 cadets. We are incredibly proud of Deacon Arnold for graduating from the AFJROTC Flight Academy while doing a magnificent job of representing Samuel Clemens and the TX-82nd! #GoBuffs #Champions 💛🏆💙
