🖌️🎨✨ Hall of Horrors: A Surreal Journey into Fear & Perspective! ✨🎨🖌️
Mrs. Mahoney's class' latest art project, Hall of Horrors, invites students to step into the surreal and confront their conscious and unconscious fears through the lens of one-point perspective. By analyzing iconic Surrealist artworks and creating original pieces, our young artists are blending dream imagery with unexpected juxtapositions to reflect their personal and societal fears.
This creative journey not only deepens their understanding of perspective in art, but also engages them in powerful social and emotional learning—tapping into themes of fear, anxiety, and the unknown. Watch as they transform their feelings into visual masterpieces, exploring how art can express what words sometimes can't. 💭🖼️
Stay tuned for their hauntingly beautiful creations!

Today during all four lunches, students faced off against staff in a minute-to-win-it challenge. Participants needed to move as many pieces of cereal as they could from a plate to a cup using chopsticks. This week ALE students are learning about a contest in Alaska called "Fat Bear Week" where people can vote for the fattest bear at Katmai National Park.
The bears eat up to 80 lbs. a day to get fat so they can hibernate for the winter. ALE compared two hot water bottle temperatures: one in hibernation (wrapped in fur, covered with leaves and placed in a box) and one bottle left exposed to the elements. They took the temperature at various times throughout the day and students discovered that the hibernating bottle stayed warm!

Happy Custodial Appreciation Day! Our custodial staff are rockstars, working hard everyday to keep our campus clean.
Our admin team provided lunch and our Student Council made a sweet banner showing love from our students as well.
Thank you for all you do!
