🚀 Mr. Jaramillo’s class took learning to new heights today! As part of their Flight & Drone unit in Beyond the Bell, students designed, built, and decorated their own rockets—then launched them from the football field! Such an exciting way to celebrate their hard work and creativity! 👩🚀👨🚀✨
Tryouts are October 6-8, 2025. 7th grade 6-7:30am; 8th grade 4-5:30pm. You must have a physical on file and be present for all days of tryouts.
The Battle of 3009 is about more than just a game—it's about community. A big thank you to our Student Council for the fantastic signs and for greeting everyone with so much enthusiasm this morning. The Steele Medallions joined our STEAM Club to kick off the Battle of 3009 week! It's was great to see our former students side-by-side our future Knights. Let's make this the best rivalry game yet! ⚔️
This past weekend, the Cross Country Team competed in the Gonzales Cross Country Invitational. All our teams did well, but the spotlight belongs to our 7th grade girls. Out of 15 teams, they placed 4th overall and for the second meet in a row, E. Yansane took 1st place overall out of the 150 runners that competed in the 7th grade girl’s race. OUTSTANDING!
Three Dobie Cougars participated in the Unified Sports Bocce Ball Tournament on Saturday. K. Fleming took 1st in doubles and 3rd in singles, D. Ivanov took 1st in doubles and 2nd in singles, and J. Wilson took 3rd in doubles and singles. Way to go Cougars!

At last night’s varsity football game, our Cougar band shared the field with Steele’s marching band for the halftime performance. Thank you to Steele for including these future Knights and congrats on another victory!

FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) is a national student organization that helps young people develop leadership skills, explore career pathways, and make a positive impact in their schools and communities. Through hands-on projects, competitions, and community service, members learn about family and consumer sciences, teamwork, and leadership while preparing for their futures.
